The Foundation of the International Society of Neuropelveology was created to fund the development and application of emerging technologies to benefit the health of children affected by spina bifida. Use of the LION procedure on the pelvic nerves may result in an improved function of the pelvic organs and locomotion in spinal cord conditions. The Foundation also supports the education of young physicians in neuropelveology by providing scholarships, teaching grants, and financial support for worthy research and by creating periodic awards for scientific accomplishments.
